This is me with my pal(pup) Fozzie Bear. I sat down this afternoon to take a few pictures of me with our animals to send as a reply to my nephew, Abe, who had sent me a letter. I did get one where Fozz was actually looking at the camera, somehow, but I liked this one the most, because it’s so typical of our relationship. He is a “celia’s-dog” for sure, and in this picture, you can so tell that he is trying to make eye contact with me, and figure out what it is that I want him to do. He’s probably also trying to smell my breath and figure out why I am holding him in my lap like a teddy bear. Good dog.

These shoes (which are Nikes, by the way) were purchased one month ago, and since I’ve had them, I have logged 45 miles of running! Running is a relatively new hobby for me – I started the Couch to 5k program last summer, and have gradually been working my way up ever since. Somehow, it has really turned into something that I LOVE. Not just something I enjoy, or something I do because it helps me lose the weight, but it is something I love. I missed getting out during the ice storm we had a few weeks ago, I look forward to the time outside, listening to music, being quiet with my thoughts, pushing myself to see how far I can go, feeling the accomplishment of actually doing it…I’d say that’s a lot of good out of a pair of shoes.

I’ve been waiting for a shipment of contacts to come in, and have had to wear my glasses all week. When I wear my glasses, I almost always have a slight headache, and I almost never fix my hair or put on make-up. My perception is that I look so strange as a result, but in this picture, maybe I just look like me.

I was fur-busting Sanrio this afternoon, and he was feeling a bit posey, so I grabbed my camera. This shot was taken just before he grabbed the canyard** in a futile attempt to end our photo session.
